Hi, I'm Matthew Simon

Welcome to my portfolio!

Who am I ?

Undergraduate studying Computer Science in the School of Engineering at Cornell University.

Mainly focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Casual interest in web / IOS app development.

Some of my projects

SpotiFriend IOS App

Location based music discovery/playlist app. Users place custom markers on the world map, and can search for other playlist markers created by users. Playlist markers only appear if the user is in range of them, thus creates insentive to explore areas around the globe and discover their musical tastes. Each playlist is linked to a Spotify playlist, and when tapped will take the user to that playlist and begin playback. Created to learn IOS App development tools: xCode, Swift, and swiftUI.

More about me

I am an ambitious and goal-oriented Computer Scientist with a wide variety of project experiences. I excel at innovating and coordinating with/leading others. I am passionate about artificial intelligence and the next generation of “smart” technologies.

I am the Electronics Sub-Team Lead for Cornell ChemE Car. Which is a competition based project team. I have held this role for 3 years and consider it one of the most valuble positions that I have held. It has given me an opportunity to learn how to lead effectively and collaborate successfully within a professional environment.
